>From 2.4.2 to 2.4.3
...................
o Reload Images now really does reload images only (not the document
as well)
o Some Netscape (tm) features added
o <CENTER></CENTER> added
o FTP page now has preformatted look
o <HR> improved (SIZE / WIDTH can be set)
o -sgi option for broken sgi x server (doubles size of textfields)
A better way to solve this is to use a different default font.
(Use a Times New Roman font or something equivalent, not Lucida)
o Gecos password information is scanned better.
o File name suggestion in save box. Mosaic gives you the filename of
the file you just transfered and shows it by default in the
selection text field.
o Pressing the right mouse button on an anchor loads the file to disk
(except when running in info terminal mode)
o Added patch to make Mosaic URL field editable
(Thanks to: Martin Hamilton <martin@mrrl.lut.ac.uk>)
o Fixed Postscript printing problem from version 2.4.2
o Mosaic uses a private colormap with -pcmap argument or
usePrivateCmap XRes.
(Thanks to: Thomas Woerner <tom@mpik-tueb.mpg.de>)
o Fonts for document window now configurable with XResources
(12 fonts)
o Shows 'busy' icon name if busy (you can set the busyIconName with
XDefaults)
o Changed checking for "internal-" pictures. Internal pictures are
pictures
which have the string "internal-" somewhere in their filename
o Removed security bug for telnet URL in TERM mode
o Added option "Call viewer with csh" for systems with broken sh
(Linux, others?) The viewer will be spawned using a csh instead of
using the system() call which calls the sh of the system.
Applications should always run in background, if you use a csh
(did not found a broken csh yet.. ;-)
o Fixed bug for mulitple submit buttons.
o Added "Referer:" to HTTP-Access header
o -info-terminal-mode (-itm) option (XResource *infoTerminalMode)
added (run Mosaic in equivalent of 'kiosk' mode)
o News now shows newsgroups with only one article in group, too.
(Thanks to: Peter Eriksson <peter@ifm.liu.se>)
o MAILTO improved
- Recipient of 'mailto:' shown and editable
- Subject of 'mailto:' shown and editable
- "wordWrapInMail" xresource added. Set it to "False" to disable
word wrap in the mail window. Default is "True". Mosaic option
set to -nww and -nowordwrap.
- Added signature capability to 'mailto:'
Just set your Mosaic*signatureFile xresource or
MOSAIC_SIGNATURE_FILE environment variable to your signature
file, and it will be read into the mail window.
(Fixes for 'mailto:' by: Mike Peter Bretz
<mbretz@zdv.uni-tuebingen.de>)
o Added patch for no_proxy environment variable
(Thanks to: Ari Luotonen <luotonen@dxcern.cern.ch>)
o Fixed the spinning earth icon speed for Linux platforms
Removed the hack for -speed option
(Thanks to: Kjetil Torgrim Homme <kjetilho@ifi.uio.no> for his
comment)
>From 2.4.1 to 2.4.2
...................
o Multiple submit buttons supported.
o Closing of windows refixed (Exit confirmation pops up on last
window now).
o News page style improved.
o Little patch for News protocol. (switch to 'mode reader' included)
(Thanks to: Christian Treber <treber@telenet.de>)
o Added '-speed <number>' argument to slow down the spinning earth
icon ( 1: normal, 2: half of the normal speed, 3: 1/3 of the
normal speed ...)
This is useful for most Linux architectures (there it was really
too fast!), if the user wants to see that it is the earth which is
rotating (and not just a 'something')
o Added Imake stuff from Fish-search Mosaic, made some fixes, so it
works just fine on tested architectures (c.f. README)
(Original Imakefiles: Rainer Klute
<klute@irb.informatik.uni-dortmund.de>)
o Added several features to Mosaic.cf file.
o Added fish search source
o Changed HTML-only functionality, so that really only http://*.html
files get
checked. (A better patch will follow later)
o Fixed ftp-filedate function.
o Finally fixed the stupid colorbug again. Thanks for all your
complaining.
o Fixed qsort() function calls!
o Fixed and changed fontSet resource initialisation , which now uses
the index
number from the option menu instead of the name
o Fixed finger protocol (was hanging up sometimes)
o Edit source window advanced
(Thanks to: Panagiotis Christias <christia@theseas.ntua.gr>)
o Added: MAILTO protocol
o Added TERM source
o ...
Have fun,
Mike P. Bretz, Paul de Bra and others ;-)
