The Linux Users' Group of Davis (LUGOD), will be holding a meeting on:

  Tuesday
  July 2nd, 2002
  6:30pm - 9:30pm
  (Doors open at 6:00pm; please try to arrive on-time!)


The meeting will be held at:

  2900 Spafford Street
  Davis, CA 95616


The topic will be:

  The PHP Hypertext Processing Language

  presented by: Rasmus Lerdorf, Creator of PHP

   The PHP Hypertext Processor (www.php.net), a project of the
   Apache Foundation, is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language
   that is especially suited for Web development, and can be embedded into
   HTML.  Much of its syntax is borrowed from C, Java and Perl.
   PHP is available for Unix, Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, and more.

   Rasmus Lerdorf is the creator of PHP, and author of
   the books "Programming PHP" and the "PHP Pocket Reference."

   Copies of both titles will be raffled at this meeting, for free!
