=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====

Dear All

Version 3.09 of lcrzoex and lcrzo is now available.

Lcrzoex contains over 150 functionnalities to test an
Ethernet/IP network (sniff, spoof, configuration, clients, servers, etc.).
Lcrzo is the network library which permitted to create lcrzoex.

** lcrzo **
Lcrzo is a network library.
Its main objective is to easily create network test programs.
This library provides network functionnalities for Ethernet, IP, UDP,
TCP, ICMP, ARP and RARP protocols. It supports spoofing, sniffing,
client and server creation. Furthermore, lcrzo contains
high level functions dealing with data storage and handling.
Using all these functions, you can quickly create a network test
program. Lcrzo, which means "Laurent Constantin RéZO" (RéZO=network in
French), is available under the GNU LGPL license. This library was
successfully installed under Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris.

The library lcrzo provides :
 - network functionnalities :
    + address conversion
    + packet encoding/decoding/printing
    + spoofing
    + real/virtual UDP/TCP clients/servers
    + sniffing
    + device(network board) dealing
    + etc.
 - and general functionnalities :
    + data conversion
    + chained list
    + IPC
    + etc.

** lcrzoex **
Lcrzoex is a program containing usage examples for the library lcrzo.
Actually, lcrzoex contains over 150 examples. The main objective
of lcrzoex is to teach you how to use the library lcrzo. Every
example can be compiled alone and modified to match your needs.

Examples provided by lcrzoex can be used in the following contexts :
 - discover the Ethernet address of a computer (examples 2, 3, 134,
   etc.)
 - sniff your LAN to detect what's going on (examples 7, 8, 9, etc.)
 - check the checksums created by a network program which isn't
   working (examples 16, 17, 18, etc.)
 - intercept a session and replay it as many times you want to
strictly test your application (examples 10, 11, 12, 22, etc.)
 - verify if a router is well configured even if the needed computers
   are down (examples 48, ..., 53, etc.)
 - check if your router/firewall/computer blocks
    + IP protocols (examples 29, ..., 34, etc.)
    + IP options (examples 29, ..., 34, 73, ..., 79, etc.), source
      routing (examples 45, 56, 59, 62, etc.)
    + IP fragments (examples 44, 55, 58, 61, 72, etc.)
    + TCP options (examples 48, ..., 53, etc.)
    + ICMP types (examples 65, ..., 70, etc.)
    + ARP poisoning (examples 80, 81, 82, 83, etc.)
 - create a tcp/udp client with a special local port (examples 85,
   89, 86, 93, 97, etc.)
 - convert between numbers (examples 139, ..., 148, etc.)
 - etc.

Subject: Guikachu 0.4 - PalmOS resource file editor for GNOME
Date: Sun, 22 Apr 2001 17:16:54 GMT

=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====

Dear users of both large and small computing tools,

A new release of Guikachu is available. It is a major improvement over
the previous releases: it includes the Form Editor.

About Guikachu
- --------------
Guikachu is a GNOME application for graphical editing of resource
files for PalmOS-based pocket computers (get it?). It is written by
Gergő Érdi <cactus@cactus.rulez.org>. Check out
http://cactus.rulez.org/projects/guikachu/ for up-to-date informations.

Catch it all from http://cactus.rulez.org/projects/guikachu/

About this release
- ------------------
This release features many polishment fixes both in the user interface
and in the code-base. Buttons and Graffiti(tm) shift state indicators
are also supported.

New features:
        * The file specified on the command line is loaded at startup
        * You can remove widgets (only from the tree view)
        * Updated Form to support the `default button' property (the
default button is the one returned by a modal form if it is
closed by switching to another application)
        * Finished Label support (added the Usable property)
        * New supported widgets: Button, Repeating Button, Graffiti
          State Indicator
        * User interface improvements:
            * The widget selecting bug (you could select only the Form by
clicking on it in the preview window) that existed in the
previous version is fixed (needs GNOME-- 1.1.17+)
            * Text entries and textboxes save the cursor position
before upgrading the resource, so you can type
              continously
            * Fixes in selection handling in the button list of the
              dialog editor
        * Tons of under-the-hood improvements

Guikachu uses GTK-- and GNOME-- for its user interface. File I/O is
implemented with the libxml package. Dialog windows are loaded via
libglade. You will need the versions of these packages available in
the GNOME 1.4 bundle (with the exception of GNOME-- which you will
need to upgrade to version 1.1.17)
To actually create the PalmOS resource files, you will also need PilRC
(part of the GNU PalmOS SDK) to compile the .rpc files produced by
Guikachu.

From: David Sugar <dyfet@ostel.com>
Subject: Bayonne 0.5.23 released
Date: Sun, 22 Apr 2001 17:16:01 GMT

=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====

In putting out 0.5.23 tonight, I am distributing what I hope will be the
final of the 0.5.x releases of Bayonne. This release introduces both
support for streaming audio thru a URL resource, and the functionality
required for parsing an XML script language from a web server thru a
plugin. Plugins can now be created for multiple XML dialects, such as
CallXML, XTML, VoiceXML, CPL, or whatever. The underlying mechanisms
for executing an XML dialect will be thru the structure of the
Bayonne script runtime engine itself.

Some changes are needed in Common C++, ccRTP, and ccAudio, before Bayonne
0.6.0 is released, and those will be started shortly after this
release. Those changes include some better control of URLStream
options, and ideally a put method, ftp support, and making some info
available from ccAudio private members, as well as sufficient rtcp session
functionality for a pure Bayonne RTP ivr driver skeleton. There may be
a few aaScript XML dialect matching functions added as well.

This release also includes the brand new Bayonne manual that was created
by Anders Dahnielson of the core Bayonne development team. This manual
replaces all the arbitrary text files that used to be distributed with
Bayonne. The manual is found in the doc subdirectory and has been
partially revised for this new release.

Other changes in this release include the addition of extensive new
commands for digit manipulation. This should allow one to code proper
call routing tables and operations in Bayonne without having to resort
to plugins. Other changes were made both to enable mapping of XML
dialects into the ccScript runtime engine, and to condense the number of
script steps needed for some operations.

For those looking to help with or contribute to Bayonne development,
one area we need an additional contributors is in helping with the
Common C++ URLStream and XMLStream classes, and to produce a valid
XML parser for at least a demonstratable subset of CallXML using the
XMLStream parser in a Bayonne XML plugin. We are also looking for a
someone who might be brave enough to volunteer to operate, or that
would be willing to contribute to support deployment of, a public access
Bayonne driven XML telephony voice portal.

As usual, Bayonne and all related tarballs are distributed thru the
feeder mirror, at ftp://www.voxilla.org/pub/bayonne/tarball. The
latest copy of Bayonne and all related files may be found here.
