ˇLinux (1e-6 Linux) 11r3 release, codename "Kraznj Oktiabr"
======================================================
(Warning: fractured english inside)
Description:
- -------------
muLinux is a full-configured, minimalistic but mostly complete,
application-centric Linux distribution, fitted on a single
1722K floppy, with many pluggable floppy add-ons.
Main goals: Linux proselitism, rescue.
Using the only SRV additional disk, muLinux transforms in a little
NT, acting also as Samba file server, print-server and WWW gateway,
fax-server, cdrom-server, mp3 remote player, combust-server, and can be
configured and controlled enterely via browser, using
the builtin CGI RCP server (the rustic "Remote Control Panel").
New releases comes with a Dialin-PPP-Samba-Server: you have only
to call your home from outside, using the PPP Windows dial-up utility,
specifying your home phone number. When connection is up, you can
access remotely your disks and programs, using
the "Network Resources" folder in M$.
Mulinux is able to boot from floppy-disks, from a CD-ROM, from ZIP,
or from an Hard-Disk and installs from DOS or from Linux.

I'd like to announce my new website concerning linux software for chemistry.
Linux4Chemistry:
http://zeus.polsl.gliwice.pl/~nikodem/linux4chemistry.html
The goal of this website is to provide with the most up-to-date links to
the chemical software running on linux. Because the field is still under an
intensive development, the website will also be continuously under
construction and you may even find some not-up-to-date URLs there for this
same reason. In that case contact me, please.
I hope it will be helpful to you. You are very welcome to send me your
commends, new URLs and so on.
I must also say, that I began a cooperation with Dr. Carlo Nervi, who is
the developer of Linux and Chemistry website:
http://chpc06.ch.unito.it/chem_linux.html
and some of the links on my website are based on his very well organized
database. I will try participate in the development of his database soon, I
hope.
You are very welcome to visit my Linux4Chemistry website!
Happy New Year!
Best regards,
Nikodem Kuznik

PRESS RELEASE.............................. December 27, 2000
(Available in html at http://www.provenacct.com/pr/echoice.html )
PROVEN SOFTWARE, INC. is pleased to announce the release of eCHOICEŽ.
eCHOICEŽ is an internet shopping cart for linux which is fully
integrated with PROVEN CHOICEŽ Accounting Systems. eCHOICEŽ is
appropriate for business to business as well as consumer applications.
eCHOICEŽ allows webmasters to easily integrate to the PROVEN CHOICEŽ
Accounting System while still retaining much creativity and design
flexibility. For example, items may be sold directly from PROVEN
CHOICEŽ Inventory files by following some very simple input rules for
your store's pages. The actual design of these store item pages are
under the webmaster's control.
The PROVEN CHOICEŽ Internet Tool Kit is also available to serious web
developers who want even greater custom capability.
Business to Business and other applications, which may wish to
restrict access to only prequalified customers, may also integrate
the eCHOICEŽ shopping cart to their PROVEN CHOICEŽ customer file.
Sales transactions from eCHOICEŽ may be sent directly into PROVEN
CHOICEŽ Accounting for fulfillment and further processing as
appropriate for your specific application. Completed transactions
may then be posted to update not only sales journals but also
Inventory and Customer files when desired for the application.
eCHOICEŽ is a part of PROVEN CHOICEŽ Accounting, a fully integrated
accounting system for businesses and non-profits which includes
General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts
Payable, Sales Invoicing, and Checkwriter as well as important
options such as Professional Time Billing and Sales
Invoicing/Inventory Control Modules.
Proven Software, Inc., the authors of Proven CHOICEŽ, has been
developing business applications for over 15 years, exclusively for
Linux for over 5 years.
Additional information and an evaluation copy of Proven CHOICEŽ is
available at http://www.provenacct.com .
