THEKOMPANY.COM ADDS THREE TO GROWING TEAM

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -- 26 May 2000 -- theKompany.com, producers
and distributors of high-quality open source and commercial Linux
software, continues to grow with the addition of three new members to
its professional team, announces president and CEO Shawn Gordon.

theKompany.com has beefed up its core development team by adding two
open source programmers from existing development projects.
theKompany.com is pleased to welcome Phil Thompson, developer of PyQt
and PyKDE, a package for using the Python programming language with Qt
and KDE development; and Max Judin, developer of KDE Studio, an IDE tool
for developing KDE applications for Linux. Both of these projects are
now being hosted by theKompany.com. This is in addition to their
recently announced 2 year financial support of the Kword project, part
of Koffice for KDE.

"We intend to do as much as we can to support existing and future open
source development projects," says Gordon. "Furthermore, we are proud to
have two such expert programmers on board with us. We look forward to
working with them and others as time goes on."

As a further step towards theKompany.com's efforts to create and promote
all-round quality products, Web and graphic designer John Grantham has
been engaged to create theKompany.com's corporate identity, packaging
and Web site. Grantham previously produced the corporate identity and
Web sites of Loki Entertainment Software, LinuxPPC, Inc.; ON Channel,
Inc.; and macnews.de.

"We are all long-standing, active members of the open source and Linux
development community," Gordon said. "We have taken this opportunity to
develop new software, and improve existing open source software. In
addition, we have fine tuned and streamlined the distribution process in
order to deliver it to the users and developers of Linux quickly, and at
a lower cost."

With over a dozen commercial products to his credit, theKompany.com
president and CEO Shawn Gordon has himself lead software development for
over 15 years in nine different languages. He has served as information
and technology officer for ReviewCo, a division of Foundation Health;
PayUSA, Bourns, Inc.; and L.A. Gear.

theKompany.com, a California-based company has developer teams in North
America and Europe. theKompany.com fills a need in the Linux community
for mass-marketed, quality Linux software by producing developer tools
like its flagship product, PowerPlant. theKompany.com's products are
marketed both online and through B&M channels. Visit www.theKompany.com
