Dear Newsgroup:
I'm taking an operating systems course at East Tennessee State University.
For my term papers, I've chosen the Linux Operating System for my breadth
research project and threads as my depth paper.
What I'm looking for, specifically, is some in-depth information on how the
Linux OS works and its approaches to certain issues (i.e., memory
management, context switching, threads, deadlock management, etc) in
contrast to, say, Solaris or Microsoft.
Also, if you would know any place where I go obtain some detailed info on
threads, I would be deeply appreciative.
Thanks in advance,
Doug Harris
