Subject: boot machine
Date: Sat, 22 Jan 2000 22:47:40 -0500
I am currently trying to setup a dual boot machine, NT4.0 and Redhat 5.2. I
partition 2.0 gig for the NT (hda1) and the Redhat as: first, 25 mg for
/boot (hda5), second 100 mg for /swap (hda6), third, 1 gig for / (hda7). The
Lilo is install on the /boot partion (hda5). I checked the Lilo.config it
stated as:
boot=/dev/hda5
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
timeout=50
image=boot/vmlinuz-2.0.3-0.7
lable=linux
root=dev/hda7
read only
other=/dev/hda1
label=nt4.0
table=/dev/hda
When I bootup the system it will bootup to Nt loader with no options for me
the switch to Redhat. Obviously, the Lilo is not working, so I made the Hda5
partition active since the Lilo is installed on it, but no avail. When I
bootup it gave me a message: PRESS A KEY TO REBOOT and it take me one where
since it constantly doing it.
What am I doing wrong? Please help!
Thanks in advance.
Steve
