Hi,

This a first announcement about the changes on the Linux User Groups
WorldWide project (see: http://lugww.nllgg.nl/)

The whole things is moving to MySQL and PHP3. By the time you read this
the current database should be converted and visible on
http://lugww.nllgg.nl/lugww.php3 (If there is a red TEST notice flashing
it's not done yet.)

The second phase will setup maintanance scripts for me. And get new
mirrorsites.

The third phase will be a page where the groups can maintain their own
entry.

I can't put time tags on it yet. But it should be there in 19xx (which
gives me just about 12 weeks ;-)

Additional announcements will be posted as needed.

Hugo.

        Hi everybody,

For those interested in Wireless LAN, I've updated my "Linux
Wireless LAN Howto". The Linux Wireless LAN Howto is the most
exhaustive ressource on the web about Wireless LANs and describes the
state of Linux support.

The changes :
- -----------
The driver and hardware section should be quite up to date and
has been updated pretty continously. Since last annoucement, I've
added the Symbol Spectrum, Aironet Arlan 802.11 and No Wire Needed. I
now also mention the WebGear and Apple Airport.

The "Wireless LAN technology overview" has had a really major
update. In fact, it's the second major update in two years. I've added
more than 50 % new content and doubled the number of figures. On that
side, I should be pretty up to date with regards to upcomming
standards.

The top level page contains better navigation and the list of
links has been updated.

Where :
- -----
Since last annoucement, the web page has moved to :
                http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/

        Happy reading...

        Jean

Hello

If you downloaded itetris v 1.6.0a, make sure
that you don't compile it with -O2 . In this case,
the game will get stuck between levels, and
you will have no alternative to killing it.

The fixed version, working right with -O2,
is available as:
http://www.alphalink.com.au/~michg/ace/itetris/itetris-1.6.0b.tar.gz

As an alternative to another download, you can
either edit Makefile by changing '-O2' to '-O'
or do it by setting CFLAGS

make wipe
export CFLAGS="-m486 -O"
../configure

I bring my apologies.
Michael
