Jonathan,

I do try to get up to your chapter as much as possible. What makes you
think that you would get visits from Section 61 (WV) or Section 62 (sw PA)
staff any more often?

Section 84 = DC&MD, There are however schools that could have chapters
within 1.5 hours of Frostburg State that are in MD. (Hood College and Mount
St. Mary's(which is inactive)

Um, I don't think so, FSU is closer to Richmond (which for lack of better
calculation is the center of RIII, than you are to U of KY or U of Toledo.
Much of that comes from the fact that Region V is the most compact of
the ten regions. And FSU is closer to the Region III director's house
than it is to the Region V Director's. Another Point is that Region V
has more chapters than Region III, making a move less likely.

>In terms of activities within the section/region, and unofficial visits, we are

Nothing prevents you from going to any Region V activity (or Region X activity
for that matter). The only thing you don't get to do is vote for Region
V director (or the sectional chair for 61 or 62). You do get to vote
for Region III director and Section 84 chair.

>The question then becomes......which Region and Section should we be in?
The first question is does either 61 or 62 want FSU? 1/2 :)

That (RIII conference) is the place to begin discussions of it,
however I would point out two things.

1) This idea is unlikely to go anywhere unless most if not all of AGChi
agrees with you.
2) Since this would be a move between Regions, The Regional directors
can not do anything about it on their own. All movements of Regional
boundaries MUST be decided by the National Convention.
