Hi.

   1. Someone raised the issue of being "political" and stuff.
Let me share an experience with you that happened to me
TODAY. We are passing out information about HIV/AIDS on
our "Commons" area today and tomorrow going along with
National Service Week. Anyway, we are also passing out
free condoms. As I was holding a box of condoms, passing
them out to passing students, a woman walked by and said
       (and I quote) "That's disgusting. I can't believe you're
doing that." and gave me a really evil look. :(

It dawned on me that there are people who see what we are
doing as wrong (probably people on this list as well). She
was a "townie" (Harrisonburg resident) and so usually they
have to be taken with a grain of salt, but their opinions
are still extremely valid. My point is, that no matter what
we are doing, there will probably be someone saying that
we shouldn't be doing it or that we are affiliating ourselves
with one group or another. Hence, don't worry too much
about it. As long as you're not promoting something that is
obviously extremely political, I'd say do it.

#2 I hate myself for doing this, but I'm going to ask 1 question
       concerning the Scouting thread.

I was told by a brother that leads a local Girl Scout Troop
that males are not allowed to serve in leadership rolls unless
they co-lead with their female spouse.

       Is this true?

Thanks for reading, and have a nice day.
