Alpha Alpha Lambda Chapter at Alcorn State had been declared inactive for
non reporting of AAMDs two years in a row. (Back in 1986, I believe)
Since then anything that they have done in the name of Alpha Phi Omega
has been against the bylaws of Alpha Phi Omega, National Service Fraternity.
They had no right to use our name for anything. (AAMDs are annual active
membership dues)
They weren't sending paperwork to Nationals and running the rituals on
their own. The people who were the "Brothers" at Alcorn were not on
National's membership roles. We do pay dues every year. They weren't.
Nationals would not have sent them Pins or anything else.

The National office will send out a letter to all of the chapters about
what happened at Alcorn. If you need more information, contact the
National Office or your regional director.
