Brothers,
Our National President was at Region V conference on Oct.15-Oct.17.
He addressed the brothers about Alcorn State. He asked the brothers
not to send anything to Alcorn State or the family because they are not
an offical chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. He said he is having a hard
time not sending a message to the family, but it could be used against
the fraternity in any lawsuit.
The fraternity has also seek legal counsel about the situation. It
is important not to do anything unless it is cleared with the National
Office. I hate to say this about the situation. If the fraternity is
named in a multi-million dollar lawsuit, then there will be no more
Alpha Phi Omega. We don't have the funds to pay a settlement.
All of the information was report to me by a brother, who attended
the Region V Conference.
I also feel there should be no further discussion about it on APO-L
due to the fact that anyone can subscribe to the service. It also
includes APO-SOC.
