The Clarion-Ledger (newspaper, Jackson, MS) carries the story this morning that
the Alpha Phi Omega chapter at Alcorn State University has been banned and
that seven officers were suspended for one semester for hazing leading to
the death of a pledge. All pledges are on permanent probation. The pledges
were told to steal a bench from a homeowners porch and the homeowner shot one
of the pledges.
I am NOT sure this is really an APO chapter because the original news reports
did not mention APO, in fact I thought it was Alpha Something Alpha.
Anybody have more info?
Please respond to my e-mail address since I am having trouble getting
subscribed.
