Greetings one and all,
Let me first breifly introduce myself. My name is Chris Dustin and
I am the InterChapter Relations Chair for Alpha Beta at Penn State. I've
been a brother since Spring 91.
Now for the reason I am writing to you. I need help! Last semester
we tried a pledging requirement to have our pledges write to brothers from
other chapters to find out a little more about Alpha Phi Omega on a national
level. We thought this sounded like a good idea, but it didn't quite work
out how we had hoped.
We are going to try it again and try to improve it. I need people that
we can have our pledges write to to find out about other chapters, regions,
etc... We have about 60 pledges this semester, so please help out if you can.
Maybe even send a list around at your meetings for people who want to be
pen pals with our pledges.
There are a few things I ask of you though.
Please when you get a letter, take some time to write back and tell a little
about your chapter and what makes it unique.
This will mostly be done through the US Postal System, (not E-Mail) since
not all of our pledges have E-mail accounts.
I also ask that you check your e-mail at least once a week in case I need to
talk to you about something.
If you're interested, please send me your name and address, and what chapter
you're from. Also if you want to send any personal info (like major, hobbies,
etc...) it might help to send a letter to someone with similar interests.
Please send any information to me at CXD136@PSUVM.PSU.EDU
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, since we're still trying
to figure out all the details.
Also I'd like to thank everyone who helped out last semester, it was greatly
appreciated.
In LF&S,
Chris Dustin
