I would like to address another topic which has been bothering
myself and many other brothers from the Chapter level all the way to
the National level: Alpha Phi Omega is a National Service FRATERNITY!
we are a Coed fraternity designed to be a forum for college students
to do service to the world while at the same time have a feeling
of unity and Brotherhood.
Alpha Phi Omega is NOT a club. If you want to join a club join
Key club or The Gamers Guild. We have a pledging program for a reason
to insure that those people who wish to join learn enough about the
Fraternity so that they can belong as full fledged brothers.
When you devote that kind of effort into something you are less
likely to want to abandon it. If you join a club you can come and
go as you like and show up only when something "interesting" happens.
Alpha Phi Omega is a standard of Brotherhood for all to see.
A standard that cannot and must not be reduced to the level of a mere CLUB!
I feel very strongly about this and I love my Fraternity.
There needs to be a change!...the change to a club is not the way to go!
