Brothers,
The Chi Gamma Chapter (James Madison University) officially invites you
to our second annual Fall Service Weekend. This year's event promises to be
even better than before. There will be more service, more fellowship and more
activities than we've ever sponsored-we're quite excited about it.
Once again we will spend an entire weekend in the beautiful Shenandoah
Valley, communing with brothers from all over Virginia, doing massive amounts
of communityservice and then eating like wild hogs at "The World's Biggest
Barbecue." And for all brothers of Section82, there will be a general
meeting, where we will discuss any pending business and call out each
chapter. Anyone not interested in this meeting may attend a service roundtable
with other chapters and other service organizations around campus.
The primary focus of the weekend is service, so of course anyone may
attend. You don't need to be a part of Section 82. The farther away you are,
the better your chance to win the coveted Brother/Mile award, so please join
us, no matter where you are. Other organizations, such as Circle-K and various
Fraternities and Sororities around the JMU campus have been invited to join us
in a giant, inter-group service festival. This is a growing trend with APO
nationally and we are hoping to 'ride the wave' of multi-organizational
service.
And now for the particulars. The date is set for October 1-3. This is
coming up soon, so mark your calendars! We will lodge you for free (Luxury
Floor Space standard, Deluxe Couches going fast call now!). There will be a
few meals provided, including "The World's Biggest BBQ." Plus party favors,
prizes and other fun items. All of this for only $6.00 a brother. What a
bargain. And advisors or staff (Section Chair, National President...) are
welcome for FREE. We love them, and we want them to join us too. Everyone must
be registered by September 30 or there will be a $4.00 late
fee.
So how do you register? You can send a list of attendees and checks
(payable to Alpha Phi
Omega, Chi Gamma) directly:

Registration, Check-in and room placement begins Friday, October 1 at

are encouraged to come for the Friday night activities (plus you may not get
to sign up for the service you prefer if you come late). When we receive
a response we will contact you to give you information such as how to find JMU
and where to go when you get here. Please leave your telephone number and a
time you can be reached so that this information may be forwarded to you
promptly.
I hope everyone can make it. This year promises to be quite a smash.
We're very excited. Hope to hear from you soon!
