Help!!

We are looking for schools with no formal greek system (that is, no social
greek system) where APO exists. We've been running into problems/questions
from the administration about where we should fall in their scheme of things.
Some background, Georgetown Univ. does not recognize fraternities or
sororities with the exception of APO and Delta Sigma Pi, the national business
frat, also coed.

In an effort to reorganize and reorder all student organizations, the Office
of Student Programs has requested that all student groups fall into one
category, media, volunteer and public service (VPS) or other (usually ethnic,
political and anything else). Well, it would appear that this would be no
problem, but..... Since this effort began nearly two years ago, we've run into
problems with the Dir. of VPS because we do not fit into her vision of what
VPS should be - that is, service and only service. She sees APO as being a
purely social organization (read usual greek frat/sorority) whose members do
service on the side.

Has anyone else run into these problems with their school's? Anyone have
input, thoughts etc. ? Any help new ideas would be greatly appreciated.

PS - Molly and Lee are you out there? Could either one or both of you contact
me please.

Looking forward to hearing from you-
