In response to several queries: Gopher is a program written at the
University of Minnesota which lets people access programs and files from
an easy, menu-driven program. It is not a TelNet service. If your site
does not have the gopher client software, you may get it through
Gopher@Boombox.Micro.UMN.edu (it is free).
