I recently received a letter in the mail from the Sacramento Area U.S. Marine
Corps Reserve asking for donations for their annual Toys for Tots drive.
According to the letter, last year Toys for Tots brought Christmas joy to
nearly 3,500,000 poor and orphaned kids by providing them with Christmas
presents.

Of course, they are looking for money to help fund the program, but they also
are asking for donations of time to support Toys for Tots. They ask that
people call up their local Marine Corps Reserve Unit regarding volunteer
activities, but here is the central address on the letter they sent to me...

U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation
4053 Maple Road, Suite 101
Amherst, NY 14226.

Write to them to find out where your local reserve unit is, or look it up in
the local phone book.

With the Christmas season fast approaching, this seems like a timely project
for anyone looking for service project ideas. Hope this helps!
