While I do not know the date of founding, my Dad's APO chapter did start
UMOC at Lambda Delta (NJIT) in 1958 or thereabouts. I do know it was spread
to North Jersey from other chapters. Was there a natinal workshop or similar
after it was founded that might have disseminated the information rapidly?
Are there records of said?
