The current edition of the National Pledge Manual has two pages devoted to distinguished alumni.
There have been many people of prominence that have been made honorary Brothers, either by Chapters or by the National Fraternity. These include people like J. Edgar Hoover, James West (BSA's first Chief Scout Executive), Daniel Carter Beard (founder of Sons of Daniel Boone and BSA's first National Scout Commissioner), E. Urner Goodman (founder of OA), and so on.
