I apologize if you get this more than once.
The Orlando Fringe Festival (www.orlandofringe.com) is in full swing =
right
now. However, we are in DESPERATE NEED of VOLUNTEERS. We need people =
to
cover Venue Captain positions, Cashier positions, and some Security
positions. If you are in the Orlando area anytime between now and May =
26,
and have at 4 hours to spare, please call me ASAP on my cell phone (407)
808-8170. Here is the breakdown on what each position does:
Venue Captain -- stays at the venue (we have 8) and makes sure that the
performances are undisturbed, the cashier is doing ok, and that everyone =
has
a button. You will be working with a radio and a T-Mobile Sidekick. =
You
will also be responsible for limited money.
Cashier -- sells tickets at the venue. Tickets go on sale 1 hour before
showtime -- some shows are hectic, some are slow -- your venue captain =
will
help you. No radio work involved, but you will work with cash.
Security -- works for me. You will be escorting cashiers and venue =
captains
to and from the venues -- a lot of walking is required, as well as radio
work. You will also have to respond to questions and concerns. I will =
be
there to help guide the security force. You may also be required to =
carry
cash.
All of the positions are fun. The neat thing about volunteering for us =
is
that you do not go away empty-handed -- you get a stylish volunteer =
shirt
and valuable Fringe Bucks. Fringe Bucks will let you see shows for =
free,
get discounts on our merchandise, get discounts on refreshments at the =
beer
tent (ID required), and participate in the volunteer auction 2-3 weeks =
after
the festival is over.
Again, if you can help out at all, particularly this coming weekend, =
please
call me on my cell at (407) 808-8170 -- you can also email me directly, =
but
only if it is at least 2 days before you want to work.
I hope to see some of you out here.
