Brothers,
Our nation has many challenges and opportunities before it: the
possibility of war, an economic downturn and questions of corporate
mismanagement, the spectre of international terrorists. On a more
personal level, all of us are confronted with various tests to which
we are called to respond, in our personal, school, work and even APO
lives.
On this, the day that our nation commemorates the birth of Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr., I'd like to share something he said:
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in
moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands at
times of challenge and controversy.
I ask each of us to apply this quote to our lives, as we each work to
improve ourselves and the service we give to our nation and those
around us.
