All of this talk about the convention and our new Board of Directors leaves
me feeling a little sick in my stomach. I'm proud of all my fellow voting
delegates for doing what they "thought" was right, but...
I am left feeling a little "dirty" by the process.
I just want to say for now, Congratulations to the new Board, especially the
National Officers who honored the process laid out with the Candidate Forums,
ect....
I am glad we had a choice, but wish it could have been done better, the
late-night political meetings seemed to violate our Brotherhood of fairness,
and pretending that students were driving the actions was very untrue as best
as I could see.
I also want to say a special, Thank you to outgoing Vice President John
Wethrington for his long years of great service to the Fraternity. I hope he
continues to serve us in spite of how he was treated by some of his fellow
Board members.
I hope our new officers work to repair this fracture in spirit and to rebuild
trust by doing as much as they can in the open in the future. I think APO
deserves this from its leaders, however they are elected.
I hope this message is recieved in the good faith it is being sent, but wish
to remain anonymous myself to protect my chapter. I was only one vote and do
not speak for them. Thank you.
