Brothers,
The reason that AAMDs weren't raised this year is that no one submitted =
legislation by the required deadline to do that. If someone believes =
AAMDs should be raised at the next Convention, I suggest submitting it =
before September 30, 2004. I believe the proposal to impose a fee this =
year, which came from a student as I recall, was designed to address the =
issue of NOT having the AAMD-raising legislation.
Keep the following in mind: there is a new Legislative Process Study =
Committee that will be appointed shortly, and the format for legislation =
may change (the committee's report is due no later than the February =
2004 meeting of the Board of Directors). I wouldn't be in a hurry to =
submit legislation until that committee's work is completed (to keep you =
from redrafting things or whatever).
