This is only an FYI regarding this thread. There are three (3) pieces of
legislation that were submitted jointly by our President/Vice
President/Finance Director pertaining to pledging and initiation fees.
1. Raise pledge fees from $10 to $25 per member.
2. Raise initiation fees from $25 to $50 per member.
3. Raise initiation fees from $25 to $75 per member.
These coincide with their fourth piece of legislation, the deletion of
annual active membership dues.
In other words, their proposals would call for raising the national fees for
pledging and initiation from the current total of $35 per member to between
$75-$100 per member. In exchange, members would no longer have to pay
annual membership dues to the national office, currently $15 per academic
year per member.
