I was a Key Club member in High School. I also received a scholarship,
thought there was no conditions about starting a Circle-K when I got to
college. It was one of the things that attracted me to APO when I was
talking to folks at the rush I happened to walk into (they were serving free
food - only reason I walked in - granted I've stayed for almost 9 years now
- but I knew nothing about who was giving away the food.) There were folks
there who had been members of Key Club as well, and you all know the rush
drills.
I don't see why we don't go into high schools and talk to Key Club members -
or members of similar clubs. I know in NYS it is now a requirement to do X
hours of community service before graduating as part of the government
course.
Just some of my thoughts.
