Amtrak pricing can be an adventure. Coach seats shouldn't be too bad
although sleeper rooms are likely to be steep. There is always rail sale
which often has ridiculously low prices but you take a real chance on
availability. There are also package price deals if a group booking is done.
You would probably be best off (unless you find a rail sale deal) to book
through an agent who is familiar with all the ins and outs of Arrow which
can be difficult sometimes. I usually recommend Gene Poon at Sheehans
Travel. He is at sheehans@ap.net. I have been pleases with his work on
individual travel. Don't know if he handles groups but you can ask. There is
also a guy named Al Mladineo at 80-759-7404 who I have not used although I
met him on a tour sponsored by the Ohio Association of Railroad Passengers.
Al has a very good reputation for assembling group tours. You may want to
look at the OARP and NARP web sites. http://www.oarprail.org and
http://www.narprail.org
