In response to a comment made earlier on the board, I went through the
list of National presidents to see which ones were never actives within
the fraternity. While this list of people who *obviously* didn't
understand the undergraduates includes people like H. Roe Bartle, as best
as I can find the last President for whom that is Glen Nygreen who served
as national President from 1968-1970.
I don't know of any elected Board members for whom that is true since
then, but I do know that we have had and continue to have some unelected
members of the Board which did not join as undergraduates, specifically
the immediate past and current Executive Directors as well as the current
Representative of the BSA on the board, James Chandler who was a
chartering Advisor at Alma College.
