Brother Bridges,

Let us presume for a moment that this is true (I have no reason to think =
it's not, but it does certainly sound unusual.)  There is a provision in =
the National Bylaws which states (and I'm paraphrasing) that if there is =
a conflict between a school's policy and the Fraternity policy, and the =
school's policy is more stringet, the fraternity policy is pushed aside =
in favor of the university's more stringent requirement.

I don't know if the situation you express below falls into that category =
(and couldn't make that assessment without seeing the actual written =
policy), but it might.

Of course, my interpretation of the National Bylaws (or any other =
policy, for that matter) have no weight or standing in the overall =
matters of the Fraternity (which makes it odd that so many people aske =
me to do just that! :-) ) but I thought it worth noting.
