Bro. Chris,
I agree with everything you have said. I wish that I would have had someone
care about my interestests and opinions when I was a student. Believe me,
it NEVER happened. I am making your second point as well. You can have a
difference of opinion on this and and other issues without being hateful,
insensitive and all of those other adjectives I mentioned earlier. Actually
that is what makes congress and all debates fun and interesting. (Including
this list) The respectful exchange of various points of view. We are not
lemings. Our opinions have been deliberated and our methods are proven to
be sound (in our minds). You (not you specifically but generally speaking)
may disagree but we don't like being treated as if we are crazy. We've done
nothing but "deal with" one imperialist, oppressive, tyrannical, arbitrary,
decision after another from our board for 25 years. We know how to "deal
with it". As Bro. Bridges pointed out, this is a forum for the exchange of
viewpoints and they do vary.
By the way, where did you pledge, are you familiar with the travesty errr
reactivation taking place at Howard Univ. one of our most prestigious
HBCUs? You sound like a cool Bro. and I must say that I've enjoyed our
brief exchange. Please don't take my "frat opinions" as a personal attack.
Maybe we will meet in DC or New Orleans. Would you like to join me in the
hotel lobby on Dec. 28th for a joint branding ceremony (just kidding!) I
will be happy to answer your questions and continue this dialogue in
subsequent communiques. I hope my good friend Jim Hahn (the diversity guy)
can also join us sometime. Keep in touch
