Hello all. I just joined this list, so here's a brief
bio:
My name is Laura Doss, but most people in school/APO
call me Mama Doss, as I am married with 3 kids (there
are people in the section who don't know my real first
name!). I am a member of Alpha Alpha Eta, located at
MacMurray College, Jacksonville, IL. We're located in
Section 48 (although that will change, as at
Sectionals this past weekend our section voted to
split), Region VI. Within APO, chapter level, I have
been President, Service VP, and am currently
Membership VP and Treasurer. At the sectional level,
I am a Staff Rep for 2 chapters, Eta Sigma and Mu Nu
(I'm a guinea pig to see if actives on staff work).
Outside of APO, I am a sergeant in the Illinois Army
National Guard, a Military Policeman, and was
activated for airport duty following Sept. 11 (but am
released from Active Duty for that now). Because of
Sept. 11, I will not graduate from Mac this year as I
was on schedule to do; dropping one semester pushed me
back one whole year, so I will be an Active Member
until May 2003. I guess that's it!
