You have to allow alumni input to a certain degree. However, I =
understand that as Alumni ages their views on fraternalism changes.
Things that they would do when they were undergraduates may become
slightly different. But ask yourself this question, what fraternity
that you know do not have alumni envolvment? Could it be possible
that the reverse maybe the answer? For a fraternity of the size
of Alpha Phi Omega, to me, we should have way more alumni chapters.
But Alumni is not considered growth avenues. Why is that? I mention
Alumni National Membership but I haven't recieve a comment on that.
Most fraternities do allow graduate membership, why not Alpha Phi Omega.
I don't agree that limiting alumni envolvment will improve Alpha Phi =
Omega. The two issues are not even related. Alumni has given and =
continues to give it's leadership. To limit their leadership would
only reduce resources. =
You see, if there is nothing after college for membership then =
all you are doing while your in college is earning service points. =
And if that is all you are doing, a fraternity chapter you are not. =
Growth programs, relationships, traditions, should extend beyond =
your senior year. Imagine your meeting your brother who is a CEO of
a major company and you are stuggling entrepurner yourself. Can't
you imagine the information that person will be able to give you if
they were encourage to stay evolved with the organization. =
If we are always erasing the past, we have nothing to build a future
on. A good idea would be not only sharing traditions but nationally
adopting them. To be able to say that Alpha Phi Omega works with
( Blank ) on every campus as a special national project. (maybe we =
have something simular already.) =
=
Thanks for your corrections Chris.
