From the founding histories of Omega Phi Alpha and gamma Sigma Sigma...

Gamma Sigma Sigma was founded from 8 local girls service sororities and
girls service organizations getting together in NYC and together creating
a national service sorority.

Omega Phi Alpha's Alpha chapter was directly created by an Alpha Phi Omega
chapter at Bowling Green State U. as a female sister organization.

There are many other local sister sororities to Alpha Phi Omega chapters
and there were many more before we went co-ed.
