Ellen is correct, the National Scouting and Youth Services Committee is
trying to develop a relationship with GSUSA (and for that matter with
Campfire, Inc., which is coed).

This has been progressing in the past couple of years since Marsha Johnson
Evans (USN Rear Admiral, Ret) became National Executive Director of GSUSA.
The reception has been to see what develops rather than an outright "NO."

At the recent board meeting/ Easton Event, Kat Zibell-Flynn was confirmed
as National Liaison to the Girl Scouts of the United States of America and
will be assisted by Colleen Every. Both have extensive GSUSA backgrounds.
I feel this appointment is a step in the right direction in developing our
relationship.

Could this eventually develop into a board level position? Only time will
tell (and time is what is needed).

Also, in reference to Randy's comments, I thought the BSA Liaison to the
National Board of Directors (Jim Chandler, Director of Personnel for the
BSA) has voice on the board, but no vote.
