Brothers---

First let me apologize for the cross-posting...

Our chapter is currently considering an issue regarding the awarding of
DSKs and under what circumstances it should be done. I am asking for
some Brothers with views on this issue to begin a private email dialogue
with me. If you have some time, and could answer the following
questions, I would appreciate it. The more detail and examples, the
better.

1. How are DSKs awarded in your chapter? Is there a vote, or an
appointed committee, or what? What do you see as the pros and cons of
this system? Have you ever considered changing it, and if so why and
how?

2. What do you consider the qualifications for a DSK winner? What sort
of people have won DSKs from your chapter in the past?

3. Do you think there should be a universal standard for the
qualifications for a DSK, or should chapters be allowed to award them to
the best of their chapter on their own terms?

And any other thoughts regarding this would be greatly appreciated. If
there's interest in the results of my poll, I'll share them at a later
date.

Thanks!

Kristi
