Shana and any other chapter starters,
I am not an expert or anything but I've gone through this a few times.
What I found to help keep people interested is to gete tim involved. Make
them an officer, head of a commitee or something. Make sure evryone has a
job and is doing their part to get this group chartered. The more they feel
like a part of the process, the more pride they will find in their
accomplishments.
Getting a charter and starting a new organization is a lot of work and
patience. But, in the end it will bring a fulfillness you have never
experienced. Make sure these prospectives know that and let them talk to
section/region/national staff about what it means to be a part of APO and how
special they are for being a founding member of a charter class.
Your blue chartering folder, which should have been sent to you will
also have some good ideas and thoughts from previous chartering efforts.

hope this helps. If you need any inspiration or have a question please write
me at lorax1000@aol.com
