Brothers:

This is an interim message about the new APO.ORG web site. In the days that
followed its arrival the new web site caused some concerned discussion. On
July 11, 1999, while still at the National Board of Directors meeting in
Indianapolis, Indiana, the National President had appointed a committee to
review the new web site. On July 15, 1999, after seeing the concerned
communication about the new web site, the President asked the same Committee
to prepare an appropriate message to the APO-L readership.

The committee returned home after the board meeting to take care of
professional and personal business and so was unable to meet until Saturday,
July 17, by teleconference. The committee is completing its work as quickly
as possible. This was felt to be an important message and the committee did
not want to just address the issue in an "off the cuff manner."

Your patience is appreciated.

Fraternally, Patrick Burke, National Executive Director
