Brotherhood depends on those in the chapter not its gender make up. I'll give you an example. Nu Mu (U of MN at Duluth) Chapter has existed as an all-male chapter since its chartering in 1961. This last school year, a female member was added into the chapter via transferring from another college that she was an active member of APO. She was welcomed with open arms while everyone outside of our chapter seemed to sense impending doom or Nu Mu. While hanging around with my former chapter at convention, I noticed zero change in its brotherhood make up. There were some chapters that I remember visitng that had a different brotherhood compositions than the last time I was around them. Its because of the people, not the gender.
