Each chapter has a different sense of brotherhood regardless if it is an
all-male or
co-ed chapter. Brotherhood depends on those in the chapter not its gender
make up. I'll give you an example. Nu Mu (U of MN at Duluth) Chapter has
existed as an all-male chapter since its chartering in 1961. This last
school year, a female member was added into the chapter via transferring from
another college that she was an active member of APO. She was welcomed with
open arms while everyone outside of our chapter seemed to sense impending
doom or Nu Mu. While hanging around with my former chapter at convention, I
noticed zero change in its brotherhood make up. There were some chapters
that I remember visitng that had a different brotherhood compositions than
the last time I was around them. Its because of the people, not the gender.
