The question I had was mainly about grad students. For some reason we
have almost no alumni involvement. We actally had a grad student approach
us and ask if he could pledge because he hadn't had a chapter where he did
his undergrad. The president flat out refused to bring it up in front of
the chapter and said that there were no exceptions to our bylaws. This is
a sore subject for me because we haven't amended our bylaws since 96 and
they have no intention of doing so because they say it takes too much
time. No one in the chapter knows why this was put into our bylaws in the
first place, but they still won't discuss it.
