Ok here is my take on this APO and campus perception. APO is the national
service fraternity right and so it says no where in the bi-laws or when the
guy that got APO started said that it was open to males and females. Well
let me tell you something ok. Bisexuals, homosexuals, and lesbians have the
same rights as anyone on Campus to join, pledge and then become a brother.
If there was a brother in my chapter that was one of the above I would
receive him into the fraternity regardless of what he or she is.
A brother is a brother and if he or she is bi, homo or lesbian then he or
she in my eyes has the right to be in the fraternity. If I was a homo or bi
sexual and I was going into getting voted in and I found out that I didn't
get in because of the way I was I would ask the president why and when he
gave me his response I would repledge and do the process all over again.
Here is my take on the campus perception of it now. Who cares what the
campus thinks of the chapter. You are on the campus along with the social
fraternites. The reason why we get looked at a lot more is because social
fraternities get more privilages and things like that so they would see this
as ha ha and we can make fun of you because you have bi's, gays and lesbians
because we have more power so we can make fun of you.
Well that is my take on this situation.
