As an undergrad student I can tell you that it isn't as easy as
you think to get out of classes. Maybe it's because I'm at a large
university, but professors often don't care what you're doing, if it makes
you miss their class, it makes them very angry.
And as for summer school - it's a whole semester crammed into four
or five weeks. Missing a "couple days" is like missing a couple weeks.
It can put you very far behind.
