I though one of the neat things to do was to go to the National Office
and dig up history.. We found several errors in the one we had been told
or passed down. The end result: we gained new insight and information we
never thought possible. Like how SUNY banned National Fraternities in
1972, and thus Epsilon SIgma was formally declared dead. We used to have
it that it died in 1970 due to lack of interest.
In addition, I found some original correspondence from my father (also a
brother) to the fraternity. That is truly priceless. My suggestion is to
get several people, go to the office, and see what you find. You never
know what nuggets might lead to an interesting Petitioning Group and
Chapter.
