Ma'am, you seem to be outnumbered.
Just so you know, I disagree with you wholeheartedly and quite resent the fact
that you disapprove that I do so. It is none of your business what I believe.
I am a confident woman, an extremely intelligent woman, and I know that I'm
the s**t. The only person who gives the "boys", as you put it, any of that
power you refer to is you, when you hand it to them on a silver plate.
Clinton is a problem, I agree, but not because he is a man, but because he's
GOT a problem. He still is a great leader, and you are perfectly allowed to
disagree with me on that.
The all male chapters can stay all male chapters, and I hope they do so. The
foundation of our organization is a FRATERNITY, whether you like it or not.
However, there was nothing and remains nothing to stop women from creating a
Service Sorority (and if I'm not mistaken, there are many). If you don't like
the way Alpha Phi Omega is based as a fraternity, there are numerous other
organzations like Habitat and Circle K that have no ritual or traditional
bases.
Now I will agree that the chapters that remain all male don't have a right to
disparage and abuse the women of this organization, as has been done in the
past (it has happened, we all know it). When the organization changed to co-
ed, a promise was made to those all male chapters. We have an obligation to
uphold that promise. On the flip side, they too have an obligation to accept
us as brothers in this fraternity. If they do not, they also have the right
to create or join whatever organization pleases them.
Do not call me to arms. Nothing annoys me more than that type of desperation.
Be stronger than that. Be better than that. Honestly.
Always in LF&S
