for a port of the Media Lab program ThingWorld to Athena
color Decstations. This program is an interactive 3D object modeler written
in LISP and C. It has been used for computer animations,
real-time physical simulations, vision research, and virtual
realities. It is the result of many years of effort by the Vision &
Modeling Group in the Media Lab. It has been given free to universities
(provided they sign a non-redistribution) in the past, and is
installed at > 30 sites. The program can now be ported to Athena due
to the appropriate Lisp packages becoming available. My interest in
porting it has been reawakened by the creation of the Computer
Graphics Society. This package should help tremendously in their
creation of animations.
