1. We decided to move the backup tapes into the cabinet behind milo.
This is mainly so it's less likely anything will be spilled on them.
They're on the third shelf.
2. If an AFS server needs to be shut down, the following command
should be run as root on the server. Wait for it to complete before
doing "shutdown", "reboot", "halt", or anything similar:
bos shutdown localhost -wait -localauth
3. ronald-ann c was down to 1219 available last week, presumably
because of skew between the RW and BK versions of some of the larger
volumes. I moved project.linux from there to ronald-ann e.
4. We hadn't done any restores of volumes off of QG112MA tapes yet, so
I did a test restore of contrib.perl on Friday. This worked OK; the
extra volume (it was contrib.perl.r) was then deleted.
