I created a project.gopher-links volume. It's very small (100 K), but
has two replication sites. The purpose of the volume is to distribute
files that I maintain, for use on systems supporting the "Internet
Gopher" information service developed at the University of Minnesota.
(They're the same files as in pub/whois in charon's anonymous FTP
directory.)

Initially, there will be some access from the University of Notre Dame
Networking Services machine (gopher.nd.edu).

Currently, Gopher servers' access to remote information in generally
by a full retrieval for each user request. We're interested in whether
AFS will be of value here, in that the files in gopher-links will
likely be cached at Notre Dame most all the time.

Matt
