The sources and development area for the BITNET software (e.g., bgw
and njed programs on charon) are now in /afs/sipb/project/bitnet.
Previously, a frozen tar file of the sources was always copied to
/mit/mhpower/src (and sometimes to charon:/usr/local/nje/src) and the
full RCS revisions were only available on a non-Athena machine. This
was a bit suboptimal.
Most of this software is not freely distributable. For your amusement,
the official statement is (sic):
This shoftware is given free of charge without any comitment from the
{\sl Hebrew
University} for support. The {\sl Hebrew university of Jerusalem} is not
responsible
for any damage that the use or misuse of this package can cause. This software
cannot be distributed without a prior permission of the {\sl Hebrew University}.
