Based on what I found under /afs/sipb/project, a brief summary
of guidelines for creating mounting volumes is in order.
I would suggest that when a volume is going to be mounted under
"project", for example, it be named "project.<mountpoint>"; not
"project.<some abbreviation of mountpoint>". This makes things
easier to maintain even though it is a minor point. Also, if
you want to be able to write into a volume as a general rule,
then it should explicietly mounted read-write which can be done
by giving the -rw flag to fs mkmount.
