According to rosebud, it writes 1024 bytes blocks to the exabyte.

rosebud# lsattr -D -l rmt0
mode       yes  Use DEVICE BUFFERS during writes
block_size 1024 BLOCK size (0=variable length)
extfm      no   Use EXTENDED file marks
rosebud# lsattr -E -l rmt0
mode       yes  Use DEVICE BUFFERS during writes
block_size 1024 BLOCK size (0=variable length)
extfm      no   Use EXTENDED file marks

Anyone happen to know what the blocksize is on hodge's tape drive?
